Mr. John Salerno serves as a Voting Board of Directors member with the Spartan Action Network. He has many years of service as a First Responder. John served as both a Fireman/EMT in the New York City area and also is a Retired New York City Detective. John was present during the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the aftermath of that terrible event.
John is very active in serving his fellow First Responders as well as Veterans. He is a member of the Third Watch Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (Third Watch LEMC). He also is a co-host on two weekly radio shows, the 99% Radio Network and the MAD Radio show which addresses many issues surrounding First Responders and Veterans. He also is an instructor and speaker at many Badge of Honor Workshops. John also enjoys sharing his skills as a comedian with the Laughter Saves Lives program which also helps First Responders and Veterans. He has also taken a large role in the #WalkTheBridge project to pay honor and respect to our fallen First Responders.
John and his wife Tara reside in the Hurst, Texas area with their fur babies.
OUR MISSION
We aim to serve our Nation’s Veterans, First Responders and their families who need help walking through a dark valley in their lives. Based on our own life journeys and God’s direction we will walk with those in need to help them reach a better destination in their lives.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the Spartan Action Network is to provide crisis Intervention services, peer to peer mentoring, emergency financial relief, home health care for Veterans, First Responders, and their families as well as Women Veteran with children temporary housing and services will also be offered.
